From March 18th to 21st, family members of some of the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa will be visiting Houston to raise awareness of their struggle and build connections with what is happening here in Houston. Join with them to demand justice and learn about how US drug policy and extractive industry helped create the conditions in Mexico that made their situation possible. Come out and support these brave family members on the beginning of their US tour.

Rally in front of the consulate to demand justice about the forced disappearance of the 43 students from Ayotzinapa. Parents of two students will be present.

Press Conference Parents of the 43 missing students will inform about their reasons to visit Houston and will answer questions from the media.

Black and Brown lives matter Parents of the 43 missing students demonstration of unity with the African American Community at Houston´s Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. Will include testimonies of people who have suffered police brutality.

Stop Plan Merida Rally to raise awareness on how the USA has been using taxpayer’s dollars to fund the war on drugs in Mexico. This money has been used to train and arm the police and military. However, the police and military are repressing civilians, instead of dismantling cartels. Mexican military and police have been found to be violating human rights, the #43MissingStudents being the most symbolic case, therefore, we need to #StopPlanMerida.

Museum Tour Parents of the 43 missing students will visit the Station Museum.

Cultural Event and Potluck Join the parents of the 43 missing students for a potluck and a play about the life of Frida Kahlo.
