T.E.J.A.S.'s 2024 Eco-Tianguis
In 2024 we held the first ever "Eco-Tianguis" in Houston's East End. Through adapting the open-air market style of Houston's local pulgas to promote plastic-free and environmentally sustainable products we honor our Latino communities and the Latino roots of Houston's East End while providing an educational, community-based experience to inspire more sustainable practices with our neighbors and families.

Eco Tianguis going forward
With the success and community engagement we saw in our first attempt at having an Eco-Tianguis in Houston, we are very interested in maintaining an annual Eco-Tianguis tradition with our East End community to further strengthen our local economies and continue promoting sustainable practices.
