Although schools within sight of polluting refineries like Chavez HS, Sheldon INT, and JR Harris Elementary are in the top 1% of most polluted schools in the Nation, schools as far away from the Houston Ship Channel as St Pius X HS, Aldine Middle, and River Oaks Elementary, still place in the top 10% from the disregard of safety within polluting industrial facilities.
