Texas, long the site of major oil and gas production and refining, is already experiencing significant, damaging climate impacts. Two major US fossil fuel companies, Chevron and ExxonMobil, will hold their annual shareholder meetings in Texas on May 31. Shareholders have submitted resolutions calling on management to report on climate-related risks and to plan for reductions in carbon emissions to keep global temperatures increases to below 2 degrees C.

This panel will explore the science, material risks, community concerns, and business considerations investors must weigh as they consider their vote on these climate-related resolutions.
